Modern communicative devices like the internet and mobile phones brought along new ways of getting in contact with potential partners. Even the number of a mobile phone is not necessary anymore, to get in contact with potential partners, maybe even only for one night or a fast date. Bluetooth is the magic word that makes it easy to get in contact with each other and provides attraction for many people. The name of this hightech way of getting in touch with each other is toothing, through wich even a conference, a bus or a train can be a possible place for dating a partner for a short or a long relationship. Straight or ambigious messages are getting exchanged through mobile phones with bluetooth and places for a date - or even more - can be arranged quickly and easily.

However, there's a catch: toothing is still just a fictive version of a blind date.

Toothing is not reality but merely the idea that it is possible to get to know people in this way. Legend has it that toothing comes from London and was first observed in 2004 in an underground. It is said that mainly homosexuals dated in this way, but later on heterosexuals got interested in this playful way of dating, too. By now it could be investigated, however, that toothing is a legend, invented and propagated through the internet by friends. Nevertheless, the idea to be able to act out their sexual wishes and desires in such a technical way, by using only a networking services of their mobile phones, definetely attracts several people.
