Career and Sex

In our global world of economics there seem to be above all three objectives that motivate people to perform. These are power, sex and money. These three drives are closely intertwined. Anyone who has ever experienced a feeling of power knows how liberating, how full of euphoria and eroticism the possession and use of power can be. It is a long way to achieve power and often means you have flout any moral concerns. But the objective itself seems to be worthwhile: the Yellow Press tabloids tell picture stories in an appealing manner.

Power-hungry persons who at first sight are hardly attractive have the most attractive and appealing partners.

Sex is the most powerful drive of nearly all living creatures. Even the most difficult ways of life seem to be worth the maximum commitment. Nonetheless people refuse the satisfaction of these sexual needs because of psychological problems, loss of self-confidence or because of physical restrictions. As a substitute they collect money. This is for many of them more than a simple substitute.

Money is cool.

It makes oneself independent and gives you the feeling of being superior. He who has money can have everything – appealing partners will automatically appear immediately. Whoever does not inherit money and power by family name has to climb the social ladder on his own. The first steps may be difficult but the higher you come the bigger is the feeling of success, the more your power grows. The next steps are much easier. Any career move means more money, more power and thus more erotic attractiveness on the people around. The way up can produce so much euphoria, that some of the winners realize only later, after their downfall, that it was not really them, but only their success that made them attractive.
